Terms of Service
Poster is a self-hosted tool for scheduling and publishing short videos to social media accounts that you own. These terms cover the software and the reference installation run by its author. By deploying or using Poster you accept them.
What Poster does
You upload a finished video, write a caption and choose a time. At that time Poster uploads the video to each connected platform on your behalf, then reads back the public statistics of your own posts so you can see how they performed.
Your accounts and your content
- You may connect only accounts you own or are authorised to manage.
- You keep all rights to the videos and captions you publish; Poster claims none.
- You are responsible for the content you publish and for it complying with each platform's own rules and with the law where you live.
- You can disconnect an account at any time, from Poster or from the platform's own settings.
Platform rules come first
Poster publishes through the official APIs of TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and VK. Your use of each platform remains governed by that platform's own terms and developer policies. Poster must not be used to evade a platform's limits, automate engagement, publish content you have no right to publish, or post on behalf of accounts you do not control.
No warranty
Poster is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Publishing depends on third-party APIs that can change, rate-limit, reject content or fail; a scheduled post may be delayed, rejected or lost, and statistics may be incomplete or delayed. You are responsible for checking that a post you care about actually went out.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any loss arising from use of Poster, including missed or duplicated posts, content rejected or removed by a platform, or action taken against an account by a platform.
Changes and termination
These terms may change; the current version is always at this address with its date. You may stop using Poster at any time by disconnecting your accounts and removing the installation.
